I’m Not a Blonde is an Italian-American electro-art-pop duo based in Milan, formed by Chiara Castello and Camilla Benedini. Their sound blends 80s-inspired beats and synths with 90s brit-punk guitars and catchy pop melodies, creating a unique sonic world where contrasts meet and merge.
Their music is a reflection of their complementary personalities: Camilla, an architect with a taste for clean lines and structured minimalism, contrasts with Chiara, who studied art and thrives in a more chaotic, expressive environment. Together, they explore the tension between order and spontaneity, humor and melancholy, minimalism and maximalism, analog and digital, lightness and depth.
On stage, I’m Not a Blonde deliver a powerful and engaging live show. As a duo, they build their songs layer by layer using loops, synths, guitars, and dual vocals, creating a dynamic and immersive experience that sounds like a full band.
Over the past few years, they’ve toured extensively across Europe and performed at major music festivals, sharing stages with artists such as Duran Duran, Moderat, Soulwax, Peaches, Hurts, and Ghostpoet.
